Nature and Power: Living democracy by reconciling economic development and environmental protection

How can democracy, cross-border cooperation, economic development and environmental protection be reconciled? This question is at the heart of the "Nature and Power" simulation.

The participants take on a unique role and defend the interests of their group for one or two days, throughout the duration of the simulation. In discussion with other groups, they try to agree on a road construction project through a NATURA 2000 protected area.

In a cross-border context, participants learn about regulations, seek a strategy and defend their opinion in a STAD steering committee, accompanied by questions from the press. The simulation allows young people to experience democratic participation in different forms – in a cross-border context.

Objective: To experience democracy and discover decision-making in a cross-border context

Age: from 16 years old

Duration: at least one day, at best two days

Price: Contact us for exact pricing. The simulation is possible from 25 players (up to 70 players max.) and can be integrated into an educational trip. There is also a remote version, programmed on Big Blue Button, which can be offered to medium-sized groups.
