Robert Schuman European Centre - CERS
Robert Schuman European Centre - CERS
The Robert Schuman European Centre offers European training for all kinds of audiences: European meetings and citizenship training for young people and professional training courses. The latter include training for interculturality aimed at employees and young graduates, courses and forums for teachers, conferences, symposiums, and more.
In collaboration with European networks and other partners. These include the Education & Training Working Group of the Greater Region Saar-Lor-Lux–Rhineland-Palatinate–Wallonia–French and German-speaking Communities of Belgium, the European Network for Education and Training (EUNET), the French Federation of European Houses (FFME), the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge (VDK), the Technisches Hilfswerk (THW), the European Academy of North Rhine-Westphalia, the European Academy of Otzenhausen (EAO), the EJB (Europäische Jugendbildungs- und Jugend-Begegnungsstätte) of Weimar, etc. In collaboration with such partners, CERS develops its European training offers which include:
-training in citizenship for young people
-intercultural learning courses
-Franco-German and European professional internships
The Centre also offers teachers initial and in-service training courses on teaching about Europe (with approximately 1,000 to 1,500 trainees per year). In this role, CERS is responsible for several continuing education modules:
-Franco-German dual nationals
-Tri-nationals (German-French-Luxembourgish)
-European relations
The scientific content of the courses is based on the work of the Council of Europe in the field of history teaching. This approach seeks to move beyond a global narrative approach, or a purely national perspective of the history of European integration, in favor of a multiplicity of interwoven narratives.
If you would like to organize a training session, do not hesitate to contact us so that we could jointly develop a concept for your target group.
