Robert Schuman European Centre - CERS
The House of Europe of Scy-Chazelles, Robert Schuman European Centre (CERS), is an active member of the network of European and national institutions, established by the French federation of the Houses of Europe (FFME) and the European Network for Education and Training (EUNET), the European network of the Houses of Europe and other educational institutions for an active and democratic European citizenship.
The CERS represents EUNET within the Conference of International Non-Governmental Organisations (INGO), which benefits from a participating status at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.
The CERS participates as an observer in the work of the Greater Region Education & Training Work Group. It cooperates closely with the authorities in charge of education and training (initial and continuing) teachers of the Greater Region Saar-Lor-Lux-Rhineland-Palatinate-Wallonia: the Pedagogical Institute of Rhineland-Palatinate (Pädagogisches Landesinstitut Rheinland-Pfalz), the State Institute for Pedagogy and Media of the Saarland (Landesinstitut für Pädagogik und Medien), the Coordination Service for Educational and Technological Research and Innovation in Luxembourg, the General Administration of Education and the Scientific Research Department of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, the German-speaking Community of Belgium and the rectorate of the Academy of Nancy-Metz.
The CERS is an active member of a working group about politicap education in the Greater region, regrouping the Zentrum für politesch Bildung (Luxembourg), the Institute für Demokratiepädagogik (Eupen - Belgique), the Landeszentrale für politische Bildung des Saarlandes and the Landeszentrale für politische Bildung Rheinland-Pfalz.
The CERS is actively involved in a cross-border cooperation network established with the European Academy of Otzenhausen (Saarland), the European Academy of North Rhine-Westphalia (Bonn) many other partners in the Greater Region.
The Robert Schuman European Centre participates in the network of associations that promote the work of Robert Schuman, notably with the Robert Schuman Institute for Europe (IRSE) and the Robert Schuman Association of Scy-Chazelles.
The CERS is a member of the Federation of Franco-German actors for Europe (FAFA) and participates in the animation of the Franco-German Network of the Grand Est region (GEFA)
